This is the Princeton Hall tied up in a tiny anchorage in Southeast Alaska, on the Inside Passage. The place is called Taku Harbor and a favorite short sail from Juneau. I love the composition of this image because it shows the new dock and pilings so clearly and with such clarity of the many memories of visits there. It's a great shot also, simply because the Princeton Hall was the sole visitor that day, allowing for an exclusive opportunity to capture both the vessel and the harbor.
A "real" camera, my first, I purchased more than 50 years ago. I didn't intend to become a commercial photographer, but simply to capture what extraordinary compositions I deemed captivating through my magic lenses. My images began to captivate my friends, grew in numbers, and finally admonished me to share my good fortune. I still consider my love of photography to be that of a humble traveler although I have sold and gathered a few kind, "official" kudos along the way.
