I woke early one glorious morning to discover this image of a splendid Glacier Bay cove resting peacefully still, after the brief, pale darkness of an Alaskan summer night. The reflections of the still water were intoxicating in the silence of the remote place where I was so blessed to be.
About Susan Stephenson
A "real" camera, my first, I purchased more than 50 years ago. I didn't intend to become a commercial photographer, but simply to capture what extraordinary compositions I deemed captivating through my magic lenses. My images began to captivate my friends, grew in numbers, and finally admonished me to share my good fortune. I still consider my love of photography to be that of a humble traveler although I have sold and gathered a few kind, "official" kudos along the way. Since that first Minolta, I have lived and traveled the hills of my native California, the fjords and inlets of Southeast Alaska's Inside Passage, and the prairies of Kansas, my current home.
