Just outside the salon door, tucked safely in our slip, I heard a ruckus. When I went to see what had caused such a disturbance, I found this guy atop a piling next to the boat, He posed for me, studied me, and must have accepted me as a part of the moment!

Susan Stephenson

A "real" camera, my first, I purchased more than 50 years ago. I didn't intend to become a commercial photographer, but simply to capture what extraordinary compositions I deemed captivating through my magic lenses. My images began to captivate my friends, grew in numbers, and finally admonished me to share my good fortune. I still consider my love of photography to be that of a humble traveler although I have sold and gathered a few kind, "official" kudos along the way. Since that first Minolta, I have lived and traveled the hills of my native California, the fjords and inlets of Southeast Alaska's Inside Passage, and the prairies of Kansas, my current home.
